A decade of growth and evolution marked a clear inflection point for Farrar Engineering. As the business expanded in capability, scale and ambition, Studio Perspective was engaged to reposition the brand for its next chapter.
Working in close partnership with the Farrar team, we explored the company’s origins and trajectory, drawing from the discipline of structural and civil engineering to inform both strategy and design. The identity is grounded in a rigorous geometric system of vertical, horizontal and 45-degree lines, forming a structured framework that reflects the principles of order, logic and stability.
The brandmark was constructed rather than drawn. Key points of each letterform are anchored to the grid, with angles and line weights carefully calibrated to achieve structural unity. Negative space is intentionally shaped to reference load paths and engineered voids, reinforcing the integrity of the form.
The result is a mark that behaves like an engineered object. It is precise, balanced and highly resolved, expressing the qualities that define Farrar. Clarity, stability and technical rigour are complemented by a bold use of colour that reflects their confident, problem-solving approach.
Delivered through a considered brand story and complete identity system, the rebrand extends across a new website, stationery, signage and a 10-year milestone launch event.
