Beachside Sumner
Elevated beachfront living.

Studio Perspective delivered a place strategy, brand and creative marketing suite for a new project on an exceedingly rare site in the beachside town of Sumner in Christchurch, New Zealand. The project features a collection of 51 architecturally designed luxury apartments across 5 buildings in an iconic beachfront destination.

The master brand for Beachside was brought to life through a crafted wordmark, gently evoking the movement of waves rolling across the shore. A coastal-inspired colour palette of soft blues and warm sands imbued the brand with refined elegance, while a suite of tactile materials-linen fabric, timber accents, and gracefully curved hoarding-added depth, texture, and a sense of quality to the brand experience.

We established a place brand hierarchy, comprising a master brand for the precinct, complemented by individual building branding. Each name conveyed a sense of individuality for the buildings while highlighting the most sought-after elements of the location.

Working closely alongside the developers internal 3D visualisation artists, we art directed a series of premium renders, carefully crafted alongside lifestyle imagery and tailored copywriting to tell the Beachside story, rolled out across a robust suite of beautifully crafted marketing materials.

Delivering a full suite of campaign collateral including a brochure, agent’s flipbook, digital advertising, eDM, hoarding signage, and a full website, Studio Perspective delivered the brand in early-2024, positioning Beachside as a rarely seen opportunity in the iconic waterfront destination of Sumner.
